ITTEN_contraste de quente/frio • warm/cold colour contrast


Johannes Itten no seu "Art of Color" define 7 contrastes fundamentais de cor. Aos alunos foi pedido que identificassem e captassem exemplos do Contraste de Quente-Frio utilizando elementos do seu quotidiano, registando-os depois em fotografia digital.


Johannes Itten in his "Art of Color" defines 7 key contrasts of colour. The students were asked to identify and capture examples of Warm-Cold Contrast  using elements of their daily lives, and to recording them in digital photography.

CHEVREUL_harmonia por analogia de matiz / harmony in hue analogy


Chevreul no seu "De la Loi du Contraste Simultané des Couleurs et de L'assortiment des Objets Colorés" (1839) estabelece que existe Harmonia quer na analogia quer no contraste de matizes e de claro/escuro. Os alunos deviam neste exercício encontrar exemplos de Harmonia de Analogia entre matizes e registá-lo por fotografia digital.


"Chevreul in his "De la Loi du Contraste Simultané des Couleurs et de L'assortiment des Objets Colorés" (1839) states that there is Harmony both in analogy and in contrast of hue and light /dark. In this exercise the students should find examples of Harmony of Analogy between hues and register it through digital photography.

GOETHE_harmonia entre cores segundo a sua luminosidade/ harmony among colours in accordance to their lightness


Goethe estabeleceu no seu "Theory of Colours" que cada cor tinha a sua luminosidade, graduando-as em números de acordo com a sua intensidade: amarelo 9, laranja 8, vermelho 6, verde 6, azul 4, violeta 3. Mais tarde, Johannes Itten no seu "Art of Color" aplicou esta teoria com o objectivo de obter uma harmonia na proporção entre áreas de cor. 


Os alunos deviam procurar/criar situações reais nas quais esta harmonia estivesse presente e capturá-las através de fotografia digital.


Goethe stated in his "Theory of Colours" that each colour has its own lightness and gave each one its grade in numbers: yellow 9, orange 8, red 6, green 6, blue 4, violet 3. Later, Johannes Itten in his "Art of Color" apply this theory in order to seek harmony in the proportion between colour areas. Students should seek/create real situations in which this harmony was present and capture them in a digital photo.
